Can’t say we expected this type of video for “It Girl,” but we like it.
The happiest producer in the western hemisphere, Pharrell Williams, releases a Japanese-inspired anime video for his G I R L cut “It Girl.” The Mr. Fantasista Utamaro-directed video features images of popular animated Japanese characters, and of course, an animated Pharrell.
We recently spoke with another popular producer, DJ Mustard, who surprisingly credited Pharrell with helping him fine-tune his new evolving sound.
Pharrell is currently a judge on this season of NBC’s The Voice. He’s also helping his longtime friend and colleague Gwen Stefani with her comeback album.
