If you thought Derek Jeter was going to spend his retirement sitting back and relaxing, you were so, so wrong.

The legendary Yankee baseball player has flipped the script, going from spending 20 seasons in the media, to joining the media. Jeter is set to create a website dedicated to giving athletes’ “unfiltered” views to their fans.

He’s calling the project The Player’s Tribune. The site will offer fans unique access to the top athletes in any sports, including videos, photos, podcasts, and more – without reporters.

Jeter released a statement from the site early this week, saying he hopes it will “transform how athletes and newsmakers share information, and bring fans closer than ever to the games they love.”

Netflix has made yet another major deal.

The streaming giant signed funny-man Adam Sandler to a brand new four-movie deal. The first release could hit the web as early as next year.

“People love Adam’s films on Netflix and often watch them again and again,” said Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer. “His appeal spans across viewers of all ages – everybody has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite line – not just in the U.S. but all over the world.”

Sandler took to Instagram to announce the deal, cracking a joke about how he thought he was signing up for Netflix when he signed the deal.

“When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said ‘yes’ for one reason and one reason only,” he said in a statement released by the company. “Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks. Let the streaming begin!!!!!”

Christina Milian teamed up with FIDM graduates Jas and Ness for the soft launch of her online boutique. The online store, called We Are Pop Culture, is said to be inspired by a combination of high fashion and the streets. The brand’s soft launch features sweats and tees emblazoned with “#WCW.”

The company plans to launch a full store and accessory line geared toward new-age women who enjoy dressing fly and keepin’ it classy, yet edgy.
