Nick Jonas has grown up right before our eyes – we mean really grown up!

The former Jonas Brothers member recently did a spread for Cosmopolitan Magazine, and to say the least, he’s definitely getting his grown and sexy on.

Promoting his second solo album and upcoming new show Kingdom in the November 2014 issue, Nick celebrates coming into his own after years of being looked at as the younger brother of Joe and Kevin.

In the interview, Nick talks music, his beginnings, his celebrity crush, and a few of his every day habits.

Check out some snippets below:

What is your earliest musical memory?

I remember being really young, and we lived in Dallas at the time — we lived there the first couple years of my life — and my dad was working at a college as the music supervisor, and they had this huge drum set enclosed in a soundproof [room] and I went in at 3 years old and I just started banging around. In my head it sounded like I was killin’ it, although I’m sure it sounded terrible. That was my first memory, and drums were the first instrument I picked up.

Who have been your musical influences? Who did you listen to growing up?

Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5, The Bee Gees, a lot of older stuff … Shania Twain was a big one at my house. I developed my own palate; I got more into Switchfoot and Weezer. And now it’s definitely Jhené Aiko. I love singing Drake… I think he’s great. And Capital City. At the end of the day, great music is great music.

First thing on your mind when you wake up?

Food. I love food. So I’m thinking about what I’m having for breakfast and how long it’s gonna be before I have it.

And finish this sentence: I cannot go to bed unless I’ve _________.

Watched Sports Center.

Celebrity crush? And this is not, like, sexual … Every single girl has given me a girl answer. I’ve never gotten, like, a guy from a girl.

Interesting. So I should give a guy is what your saying?

No, no, no. That’s not what I’m telling you.

If you’re asking, it’s Daniel Craig.

Some behind the scenes footage was also released from the shoot, showing off each of Nick’s Cosmo looks.
