When was the last time we saw the top of Pharrell’s head?

In case you forgot what it looks like, it’s on the cover of Ebony magazine’s November issue, and just like the rest of P, it looks really, really good.

The superstar singer/songwriter/producer/vampire/sneaker designer lends his good looks to the front page of the “2014 Men’s Issue,” and we’re quite happy about it, to be honest.

Inside the issue, though, we’re scratching our own hatless heads as to why we’re still discussing the controversy over Pharrell not using more brown-skinned women on his G  I  R  L album cover, to which he responds:

“I love Black women,” says Williams. “If you don’t think I love Black women, then you don’t understand me.” He continues to add, “I have obsessed over Black women since the days of Jayne Kennedy, Beverly Peele and Roshumba Williams. Those are the women I daydreamed about growing up.”

And this is what he had to say about race relations:

“I don’t talk about race since it takes a very open mind to hear my view, because my view is the sky view.”

Huh. He does, however, go on to address the situation in Ferguson, saying:

“But I’m very troubled by what happened in Ferguson, Mo. When things like that happen, we need to be a united cell. We need connective tissue to be linked by spirit and spirituality. For every individual who gets killed, someone should build a school or teach a child. We really need to balance things with positivity.”
