Neil Patrick Harris has been selected to host this year’s Oscars on February 22.

The actor has performed during the Academy Awards before, but this will be his first time serving as the show’s host. Harris has previously helmed prestigious award shows like the Emmys and Tony Awards and was both witty and entertaining.

The show will air on ABC. Read more about the 87th Oscar show here.

Katniss is back.

Jennifer Lawrence is reprising her role in the latest installment of the Hunger Games series, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, and we’ve got your first look. She’ll be joined by actors Philip Seymour Hoffman and Elizabeth Banks.

Check out the clip above and be sure to see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, in theaters November 21.

Ryan Gosling may be coming out of hiding – finally.

The actor is rumored to be taking meetings to discuss Marvel’s upcoming film Doctor Strange. The 33-year-old has not been seen on the big screen or in public since before the birth of his daughter. This would be the first time Gosling’s appeared in a major franchise film.

The folks are Marvel aren’t the only ones seeking out the new dad. According to Just Jared, Warner Bros. has been scouting him for a role in Suicide Squad, the super villains from DC Comics, while Summit Entertainment hopes to get him on board as the star of The Secret Life of Houdini: The Making of America’s First Superhero.

Good news for Friends fans.

The hit series is coming to Netflix in its entirety this January. That’s right, y’all. While you sit home nursing that New Year’s hangover, you can stream all 10 seasons.

To share the big news, the popular streaming site released this video of The Rembrandts singing the beloved theme song at Central Perk in New York City. The show recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with a pop-up version of the fictional coffee house created by Warner Bros.

Rumors recently circulated that the cast was working on a new show together. Unfortunately, Courteney Cox quickly shot that down saying, “No, there’s no truth to that. No.” She added, “I wish! How fun. We have dinner, like, every month or so, and we have the best time. I will bring it up next dinner, for sure!”

Fingers crossed.

HBO is set to launch a stand-alone HBO Go service, available without cable, in 2015.

According to CEO Richard Plepler, there are 80 million homes without HBO and “we will use all measures to go after them.” Plepler hopes that making the streaming service available to those of us who don’t subscribe to the network will create more revenue for the company.

“There is a huge opportunity in front of us. We will use all means at our disposal to go after it,” he said. “This is the most exciting inflection point domestically and internationally in the history of HBO.”

The company has rolled out this plan in countries like Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark with a high rate of success, despite a few minor hiccups.

They have not yet announced exactly when this plan will go into action, or how much it will cost.
