Nearly one month after ending her longtime relationship with Sugar Bear, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Mama June Shannon is back on the dating scene in a big way.
According to TMZ, the reality TV star is currently involved with 53-year-old Mark McDaniel. The problem? McDaniel was convicted for aggravated child molestation in 2004. Prosecutors say he molested an 8-year-old, forcing the minor to engage in oral sex.
Mama June was reportedly dating Mark when the molestation occurred. The child remains unidentified, but it is believed to be someone close to June and the family. McDaniel served 10 years in prison for the crime and was released this March. He is now a registered sex offender in the state of Georgia.
TMZ reports that June has been seeing her new boo for the last few months, sneaking away from TLC’s cameras for their rendezvous. Sources also say she’s been spoiling McDaniel, showering him with various gifts.
An official at TLC says they’re concerned about the relationship.
“TLC is not currently in production on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series.”
