When news broke that iconic comedienne Joan Rivers had passed away, thoughts immediately went to her beloved daughter Melissa Rivers and grandson Cooper. But despite all the chaos that has been circulating around Rivers’ death, Melissa, just like her mother, has been able to pick herself up and show uncommon resilience.

Moving on does not mean forgetting, however. In a touching throwback, the Fashion Police producer shared a candid moment between Joan and her grandson.

In a pic captioned, “Connecticut, 2004. Mom + Cooper= BFFs… A perfect day,” Melissa showed a softer side to Joan, hanging out in jeans and a black tee and pushing her cheesing grandson on the swings.

On Instagram, Fashion Police costar Kelly Osbourne also paid homage to the comedienne the way she does best — by getting a tattoo.

The sweet pic of a tiny bumble bee in white ink was captioned:

In honor of you @joanrivers…”If you looked at aerodynamics, at science, the bumble bee should not be able to fly. Physically, it was just not anatomically equipped to soar. Yet it did, defying gravity, defying logic. The bee was a creature that defied and beat the odds, a miracle.” Thank you for being my Miracle.

Of course, if you are a fashion and beauty guru like Kelly is, you just don’t go to the tattoo shop looking basic. The TV personality shared another selfie proving that even getting tatted calls for glamour.
