Nick Cannon is not only dealing with a divorce, he’s doing it all within the public eye. That’s a lot of stress to take on!
The man who seems to have endless jobs in Hollywood has been speaking out on it all during numerous appearances, most recently hitting up The Meredith Vieira Show and dishing on his breakup with Mariah Carey, the rumor mill, and Dem Babies while there.

On dealing with his divorce in the public eye:
Nick: It’s one of those things being someone who is in the public eye you never want to deal with your personal life into public eye but we have to. The media, they can say whatever they want to say and obviously because you are not giving them anything so they kind of create all these stories and make it way worse than it actually is.
On rumors that annoy him:
Nick: You know what I heard the other day, I heard there is a family dispute over our 8 dogs. Its the Jack Russell puppy dispute. They just make up all of these things. It’s truly just staying focused on family and what’s right and getting through these times and doing what’s right for the kids, so that’s just where we are.
On how his twins are handling the split:
Nick: I think they are just happy. They love mommy, they love daddy. Being the fact our situation we have always been people who have been on the go coming and going, there life hasn’t changed one bit. We spend holidays together, we do everything that we are supposed to do together as a family.
Meredith: Well that’s good parenting for sure.
On covering his “Mariah” tattoo:
Nick: I’m still getting it done. It’s like a while work of art, my entire back and my arm and everything. I was leaving the gym going into the studio just having had that work done and they got me. It’s going to be a big reveal but it’s not finished it’s half way done. It’s a lot of pain.
We’ve heard a lot from Nick. Now we’re waiting to hear Mariah’s side of it all.
