I can’t front, I slept on Iggy Azalea. Early on, labels tried to decipher what exactly to do with this drop dead gorgeous Australian goddess who can rhyme. So the critics say ‘Word to Nick Minaj,’ Azalea is a “white girl” with a phatty who can spit; go figure right?’ But the success of her song “Fancy” put the haters and music world on notice. The most important move after a break out hit record is the follow up. Iggy’s response to that is her new soon-to-be-hit song “Beg For It” (and we will Ms Azalea…sorry Swaggy) featuring the Denmark artist .
Free Meek Mill. They’re yelling this from the streets of Philly all across the hip-hop hood called “The World.” Meek gave new definition to the term Dreams. So as we eagerly anticipate his release (rumored to be around the top of 2015) we hungrily and humbly await any new music from MMG’s high scoring ‘shooter’. Meeks new shit “Fuck You Mean” featuring Boosie Badass should keep your Dre Beats and car speakers thumping.

Now I heard the homie Iman Shumpert from the NY Knicks could spit. I’m saying though, after many a guard before him tried, and failed in the booth (Kobe, A.l., Lance, Cedric Ceballos…even old school Kenny Smith in the BET Rap City basement), you can understand why one’s attitude could be like ‘umm yeah right…” That said, Shumps freestyle over Rae Sermmurd‘s “No Type” sets a new bar for ballers on the hard court. It is funny, witty, cleaner then the board of health and just over all dope. Shumps flow is as fluid as his fastbreak. Hopefully he can show the same dexterity on the court this season.
Jamie Foxx is like super triple OG status these days. From comedy to TV and film to hit records, Foxx has been a mainstay in pop culture for over 25 years.  It’s been a few tix since “Blame It” blazed through the night clubs and radio airwaves across the country. Foxx does have a new song, “Party Ain’t a Party,” with 2 Chainz that is currently in a legal mess. So in the meantime,  here goes another single, “It Ain’t My Fault.” While this song will be get its greatest burn with ‘the grown and sexy’ crowd, its still a nice record to have a stash for that special misses.
Oh shit! What happened to Ace Hood?! We almost forgot until this week when his new joint, “We Don’t,” dropped in the streets. It features Rich Gang soldier Rich Home Quan. From the trap to the block all the way to the club, this is definitely something that has anthem potential,  especially with the DJ Khaled’s We The Best flag silently flying overhead.
