Since naming his third album Graffiti in 2009, it’s no secret that Chris Brown is a huge fan of the art form. We’ve gotten to see his passion for art come through in his music, his many tattoos, and his own personal creations. Now we’ll get to witness his craft in an even bigger way. The X singer is collaborating with designer Ron Bass for an art tour, and they’ve kicked it off with their first mural in Florida.

While Overton, Florida is more prone to violence and crime than art, Bass said they were drawn to the area to bring something positive. “I wanted to do something to give back to the community,” he said.

Bass admits he is not accustomed to creating graffiti, but who could say no to an opportunity to work with Breezy?

““I usually paint canvas or abstract objects with acrylic paint–I’m not a graffiti artist. But Chris has been teaching me about spray painting: Techniques and different caps to use.”

Their first mural is only the beginning. The two are planning to put on another show through December 4th-8th, during Art Basel in Miami. So far, it’s looking like this is a dope collab. We’re excited to see what other creations they have in store.
