Tameka “Tiny” Harris has faced so much criticism over the years, it’s no wonder she continues to make changes to her appearance. And at this rate, the surgeries probably won’t stop anytime soon.
Although we loved her big brown eyes, the Georgia native recently decided to make them lighter – “ice gray,” to be exact – and has now opened up about the surgical procedure and whether or not her hip-hop hubby T.I. was on board with it.
BrightOcular, a procedure that calls for placing an implant “in the anterior chamber of the eye to change the appearance of the iris for both medical and cosmetic reasons,” is reportedly illegal in the States, and we can’t help but wonder if Tiny is going to eventually lose her eyesight after the sudden surgery.
This morning, the mom, singer, and reality TV star appeared on Good Morning America and dished all of the deets. She explained:
“They go into the eye and they make a little slit,” Harris explained of the procedure that uses a medical-grade silicone. They take an implant and it’s folded up. They open it [and] spread it over your eye. They told me that the procedure was going to be quick, five to 10 minutes an eye,” she said. “They woke me up. It was very blurry, then it kind of fades in.”
As far as T.I.’s feelings on the matter:
“He was like, ‘What are you doing?'” Harris said, adding that now her spouse is OK with the change. “He loves them,” she said. “He’s OK with it as long as I’m healthy and don’t have any problems.”
But is Tiny 100 percent sure she won’t have any problems down the line? We guess only time will tell. For now, she makes it clear it was her choice and she’s happy with her decision:
“I just wanted to do something different. And I have the right to do that. It’s my body.”
