It’s a new day in the NBA as LeBron James officially made his way back to the Cleveland Cavaliers during their homecoming game last night, and had some of his awesome celebrity friends sitting in the crowd to cheer him on.

Spotted in the crowd was Usher, his artist and good friend Justin Bieber, as well as former football star and talk show host Michael Strahan.

The three amigos sat together courtside, and both Michael and Usher posted pictures on Instagram – and boy, did they they all look handsome.

Usher, who performed later on in the evening, also posted a special photo of him hugging King James, and captioned it “Welcome Home.”

His tour, The UR Experience, kicks off tonight, and if his performance at the game is any indication, it looks like Usher is more than ready to hit the stage and put on a great show for all of his fans.

Meanwhile, even though LeBron and the Cavs lost their first game last night, the city of Cleveland’s revenue wasn’t looking too shabby thanks to the King.

TMZ reports:

We spoke with several restaurants, bars and pubs near LBJ and the Cavs’ home arena — and they tell us revenue was up a whopping 80% on average … from the Lebron-less home opener last year.

The Cavs pulled out all the stops for the King’s return — Imagine Dragons and Kendrick performed — and it paid off. One biz owner told us they attracted tons of people from the ‘burbs who normally wouldn’t be there.

In fact, we’re told many fans spending money downtown didn’t even go to the game … because cash registers were ringing before, after, and DURING the Cavs’ loss to the Knicks.

Don’t sweat it, Bron Bron. There’s still a whole season to go! Check out the photos above.
