You better watch the throne, because the queen of rap is back.
Nicki Minaj released her first studio album, Pink Friday, back in 2010. Now, four years and a “Flawless” collaboration with Queen Bey later, she’s on the patent red heels of releasing The Pinkprint next month.
But first, the Head Barb in Charge is on the cover of V magazine to let us know that Her Royal Minajesty has returned—as if she ever really left. Inside the issue, Nicki opens up about what the highly-anticipated album means to her and her no-holds-barred attitude:
“I always push the envelope, because I’m Nicki Minaj. I have to. No matter who I’m on a song with, I feel like I have to say at least one thing that no one else is willing to say. Whether it’s Madonna, Britney or Beyonce, they always tell me, ‘Yes. Be Yourself. Talk your shit.'”
