As much as it hurts to have to put away the maxi dresses and open-toed sandals, it’s  time to embrace the colder weather and the change in our closets that inevitably comes with it. But just because the weather is cooling off, doesn’t mean your fashion sense has to. You can look just as stylish in boots during the fall and winter as you do in sandals during the summer, as long as you’re choosing the right boots to rock.

With so many options to choose from, it can be difficult to commit to finding the right pair. We’ve put together a few that we think will keep you warm and fashionable.

1. Faux fur and shearling are hot stuff right now, and this “Marbles” boot by Steve Madden is right on trend. The neutral color ensures you’ll be able to pair with it just about any outfit.

2. You can never go wrong with cheetah print. Rock these “For the Love of Mod” booties by Shoe Cult when you’re feeling fun and sassy.

3. Tartan is the print of the season and it’s done right on these lace-up booties by Matt Bernson.

4. Biker boots by Zara are a quick and easy way to add a touch of edge to any ensemble. Added bonus – the quilted leather gives these boots a chic look.

5. What could be better than a classic over the knee boot? One with a twist. This “North Star Over The Knee Boot” from Free People puts a spin on the popular style with faux suede and adjustable tie; making them versatile. Strut in them for a night out or wear them to the office.

6. You’ll be seeing a lot of Palladium boots this fall and winter. No, they may not seem all that pretty, but they’re durable, comfortable, and look way better on your feet.

7. Palladium x Married to the Mob collaborate for this flashy boot with lots of attitude. Rock them when you’re feeling bold and you’ll be sure to stand out.

8. Metallic clothing and cold weather go hand-in-hand. Get into the spirit with these metallic suede boots by Gentle Souls.

9. Only for the grown and sexy. These Sol Sana leather booties are finished off with a contrast heel, and are a great finishing touch to a sleek ensemble.
