The biopic that will tell the inspiring, yet tragic, tale of R&B singer Aaliyah‘s life will air on Lifetime this weekend, and the network is gearing up for the highly anticipated debut by releasing a few sneak peeks.

Along with the photo above, two clips have hit the web, one depicting the moment Aaliyah’s parents found out she was married to the very questionable R. Kelly, and another that shows a time when she wanted to mix things up with a new hairstyle.

Check out the clips below:

Will you be tuning in? We know we will.

Nick Cannon is getting money out here, if you didn’t know.

As per his latest endeavor, the papa to Dem Babies will be hitting NBC. The network is gearing up to revive the 1990s classic Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, this time hosted by Cannon.

According to THR:

NBC will shoot a new take on Lifestyles, which is said to be extremely different than Style’s take. The new version will focus heavily on Cannon’s point of view and include fun profiles on ultra-wealthy individuals with vibrant personalities, hobbies and tastes. NBC says the series will feature some of the new tech billionaires who have replaced the old guard of real estate tycoons and their new set of tastes and extravagances. In addition to featuring the extravagant toys and hotspots of the rich and famous, Cannon will also highlight their philanthropic efforts.

We can dig it. Congrats, Nick.

This is kind of unbelievable.

According to the latest reports, Frozen actress Spencer Lacey Ganus  who starred as Elsa – got paid just $926.00 for starring in one of the most successful animated films ever.

TMZ reports:

The 15-year-old voiced one of the most iconic characters in Disney history … but only got a one-day guaranteed payment of $926.20 … this according to her contract which was filed with the court. Granted she only had a few lines. Another actress played young Elsa, and Idina Menzel was the voice of grown-up Elsa. Nonetheless … the movie grossed more than 1.2 BILLION.

Spencer better work out a better deal next time; the girl’s got talent.

The first teaser for the Divergent sequel Insurgent is here and we couldn’t be more excited. The film is an adaptation that stars the talented Shailene Woodley and Theo James and…

“raises the stakes for Tris as she searches for allies and answers in the ruins of a futuristic Chicago. Tris (Woodley) and Four (James) are now fugitives on the run, hunted by Jeanine (Kate Winslet), the leader of the power-hungry Erudite elite. Racing against time, they must find out what Tris’s family sacrificed their lives to protect, and why the Erudite leaders will do anything to stop them. Haunted by her past choices but desperate to protect the ones she loves, Tris, with Four at her side, faces one impossible challenge after another as they unlock the truth about the past and ultimately the future of their world.”

You can look forward to watching Suki Waterhouse, Mekhi Phifer, and Octavia Spencer do their thing in the film as well.
