Giles used to be a lawyer, and now he’s one of the hottest up and coming rappers in the underground scene. With an impending listening session hosted by Angela Yee in Atlanta, and his song “The Righteous Ratchet” making noise on the ‘net, Giles is the new cerebral rapper to add to your playlist.
Produced by Mista CJ, “The Righteous Ratchet” is worth a listen, especially when he raps about a girl who will bust it open for a 401K.
During a recent interview, Giles talks about how he’s able to juggle rapping and being a lawyer:
“As an indie artist, I am also the chief financier of this music. So if you think about it, the law makes the rap possible. As far as the process is concerned, ideas are always flowing so I never stop creating, even at work. Make no mistake about it, though, I’m an artist first.”
