So, this happened. A woman in California has been charged with 21 felony counts of insurance fraud and workers’ compensation fraud after she used injury photos from the internet to claim she was severely burned from McDonalds coffee. The woman claimed that she had a cup of coffee with an unsecured lid that led to a spill on her right hand, providing photos to create a case where she was seeking $10,000. [Daily Mail]

The Ebola epidemic continues. A surgeon diagnosed with the deadly virus in his native country, Sierra Leone, arrived Saturday afternoon in the United States. He will receive medication at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and doctors have said that he is in critical condition. [CNN]

The European Space Agency made history earlier this week, when they successfully landed a comet probe on a speeding comet. “Philae” became the first ever man-made object to land on a comet when it touched down. The ESA has said that the object has sent unknwon images of its surroundings. [VOA News]
