Marion Barry, former 4-term Washington, D.C mayor, passed away this Sunday morning at the age of 78. Barry’s political career was overshadowed by his 1990 arrest, during which he was caught on videotape smoking crack cocaine. Our condolences go out to Barry’s family during this time and may he rest in peace. [TMZ]

The President of the University of Virginia has issued a statement disclosing the suspension of all fraternities until January 9th due to recent rape claims. UVA President Teresa Sullivan said in the statement: “Over the past week many of you have reached out to me directly to offer your opinions, reactions, and suggestions related to combating sexual violence on [UVA] Grounds. I want you to know that I have heard you, and that your words have enkindled this message.” For more info visit: [Gawker]

This is not cool. A man from Milwaukee, Wisconsin was touring a home with a real estate agent and his friend when he not only found a trash cart full of live kittens, but a dead body as well! According to reports, “Milwaukee resident Phil Gustafson spotted the body in the foreclosed home while checking out a first-floor closet.
