The 2014 Soul Train Awards aired last night, and tons of stars came out to show out, but the performances were the biggest highlight of the show.

Some of the most memorable sets came from Chris Brown, Jodeci‘s reunion, Tinashe, Missy Elliott, Da Brat, and Lil Kim.

Breezy took on one of the longest and best shows of the night, as he performed a medley of his old and newer hits. Starting out with one of his first famous songs, “Yo (Excuse Me Miss),” the 25-year-old singer showed footage of his very first Soul Train performance from 2006, before singing his heart out to the track in real-time.

He also performed “Poppin'” and “Take You Down,” before moving into his new hits “New Flame” without Usher, and lastly, “Loyal,” a crowd favorite.

Jodeci reunited for the awards show, but was met with slight criticism as it appeared they were lip-syncing with a backtrack for a majority of the medley. They performed their hits “Freek’N You,” “Stay,” “Nobody Wins” with B.o.B, “Come and Talk to Me,” and “Forever My Lady.”

Tinashe made sure to put on a great show as she sang her brand new single “Pretend” for the packed crowd, before transitioning into “2 On,” one of the smash hits of the summer.

The Soul Train Legend chosen for this year was Kool & The Gang, and tons of artists took the stage to celebrate and honor the group, including Doug E. Fresh, Tank, Elle Varner and MC Lyte, Joe and Tamar Braxton, Ma$e, and Justine Skye.

The old school vibe didn’t end there, however, as even more stars came out to perform “Ladies Night,” adding to the long list of acts taking the stage. Lil Kim brought out Da Brat, Missy Elliott, and Yo-Yo to perform the ’90s anthem, and they even made sure to pay tribute to the late Left Eye by playing out her verse on the song.
