There are plenty of reasons to adore Flaviana Matata—for starters, she’s absolutely flawless—but her philanthropic spirit trumps all.
Proving to be much more than a very pretty face, the Tanzanian model took New York City Tuesday night to fete The Flaviana Matata Foundation, her organization with a mission to empower and improve the livelihood of Tanzanian children.
The bossman Russell Simmons, Flaviana’s longtime friend and mentor, was on hand for the celebration at the Beautique restaurant and lounge, where attendees mingled with her fellow Wilhelmina models over cocktails.
