The TSA is currently trying to persuade President Obama that racial profiling will work in their favor when it comes to targeting possible terrorists. TSA Administrator John Pistole claims they will only target travelers from Syria during the holiday season. Security is buffing up in light of the five-year anniversary of the failed unabomber who traveled from the Arabian Peninsula to blow up a Detroit airline. “It’s not to use race to profile anybody, but it’s a way to identify people — particularly people flying internationally to the U.S.,” Pistole said. “So somebody is, say, a Syrian citizen, that’s the issue. So it’s more nationality than race from our perspective.” [AP]

Chris Brown’s bodyguard has been sentenced to a year of probation over an assault in D.C. last year. Brown was accused of punching a fan, but Christopher Hollosy was found guilty of the crime. D.C. Superior Court Judge Patricia Wynn warned Hollosy if he violates his probation, he could face 90 days in jail. Brown pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault with his time in jail earlier this year attributed to the arrest. [Yahoo]

The Weeknd affiliate Derek Bissue (also known as Derek Wise) was arrested earlier this week for human trafficking. The rapper faces 15 separate charges after a woman claimed Bissue assaulted her and forced her into the sex trade. He’s also facing several gun and robbery charges. Bissue’s XO credentials have been erased from his Twitter account, while his manager Quincy Nanatakyi says the exotic dancer making the allegations is mentally unstable. “The investigation against Derek is both shocking and offensive,” she said. “These accusations, which we take very seriously were brought to the police after Derek attempted to end an unhealthy relationship with a mentally unstable individual.” Read the full statement here.
