The Sony hack attack, over the movie The Interview, is still a big topic of discussion, and it’s definitely starting to rile up North Korea – even more now that the FBI is confirming that they are the ones behind it.

While the agency has said that the North Korea’s government is causing havoc on the production company, North Korea is reportedly denying any involvement with the hacking, and would like to work with the U.S. to prove so.

According to CBS News, they even went as far as to threaten the U.S. if they refuse to cooperate with the request. They provided their statement via a Foreign Ministry spokesman:

“The U.S. should bear in mind that it will face serious consequences in case it rejects our proposal for joint investigation.”

“We have a way to prove that we have nothing to do with the case without resorting to torture, as the CIA does.” Sick burn.

In response to North Korea’s threatening invitation, a spokesman for the White House National Security Council defended the FBI’s findings:

“If the North Korean government wants to help, they can admit their culpability and compensate Sony for the damages this attack caused.”

In order to get down to the bottom of the hack, President Obama is reportedly seeking help from China to investigate the scandal.

An official told the NY Times:

“What we are looking for is a blocking action, something that would cripple their efforts to carry out attacks.”

The U.S. is reportedly seeking help from China, since North Korea’s wireless communications are operated through the Asian country’s networks.

Meanwhile, Sony has given in to the hackers once again, as they have reportedly wiped any trace of The Interview from all social media pages, which is exactly what was asked of them.

The hackers originally demanded:

“We want everything related to the movie, including its trailers, as well as its full version down from any website hosting them immediately.”

According to TMZ, the hackers also recently mocked the FBI by releasing a message yesterday that read:

“The result of investigation by FBI is so excellent that you might have seen what we were doing with your own eyes. We congratulate you success. FBI is the BEST in the world.”

Hmm, sarcasm much? Leave your thoughts below.
