Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice checked herself into prison Monday morning. The reality star will be serving her 15-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, CT. Teresa was found guilty of bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. Her husband Joe was also found guilty of fraud and will serve 41 months with a concurrent 12 months for failing to file a federal tax return in 2004. He will begin his sentence when Teresa is released. Her husband is also facing deportation after he completes his prison sentence. [TMZ]

A missing three-week-old baby was found dead in a dumpster after she was kidnapped from her parents’ home in Long Beach, CA on Saturday. Baby Eliza Delacruz was identified by police after a homeless man found the body in a trash bag. Eliza was taken from her home after an unknown gunman shot her parents and an uncle. Thomas Gilbert, founder of successful hedge fund Wainscott Capital Partners Fund, was shot in the head in his East Side apartment in New York on Sunday. Gilbert was found by his wife with a gun next to his body. Police have questioned his son, Thomas Gilbert Jr., since he was the last to be seen with his father. The two were said to have had an argument before Thomas left the apartment on Sunday wearing a hoodie. [Huff Post

Indiana native Melissa Williams is in mourning again after losing both her sons during the holiday season. Her eldest son, 25-year-old son Dominique D. Wright, was killed in a shooting on December 4. Her youngest, Donnovan Williams, was shot on New Year’s Day at a house party. Williams was the first member of the family to attend college and was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Family members say Williams came home during the holidays to console his mother after Dominique’s funeral. [Daily Mail
