After Apple was awarded a patent for a mountable sports camera, the shares in GoPro dropped as they critcized the company. They claim that their HD Hero2 digital cameras create “wind resistance,” and are “susceptible to damage” from vibrations. Apple also patented a system that could let the cameras be used to capture underwater images and sounds. [WPTZ]

The bartender of House speaker John Boehner once made plans to slip poison into his drinks, or shoot him and drive away swiftly, according to authorities. Michael Hoyt claims that he heard voices saying that Boehner was evil, and thought that he was the devil. He has been indicted on charges that he planned to murder him. [CNN]
