So this happened.
This morning, during the live reading of the 2015 Oscar nominations, Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences president Cheryl Boone had a brain fart while reading off the nominations and said “dick poop” instead of Dick Pope.
She was announcing the nominees for Best Cinematography in a Movie, and Mr. Pope was recognized for his work on the film Mr. Turner. Now to be fair, Cheryl quickly fixed her brain fart – but not before the stink hit Twitter.
It’s currently trending on social media, but hopefully Cheryl will be able to wash off the stench of this mishap fairly easily.
