In news related to the terrorist attack that left 12 people dead at satirical French magazine Charlie Hebdo last week, a UK news station apologized for showing the publication’s latest magazine cover on air, a man is deemed a hero after saving people from a Paris gunman, and another is in custody after selling weapons to the Charlie Hebdo attackers.
“All Is Forgiven:”
The UK’s Sky News apologized to its viewers after a French journalist showed Charlie Hebdo’s latest cover during an on-air interview.
Journalist Caroline Fourest said, “it is completely crazy that in the U.K you cannot show a simple drawing as that” as she attempted to hold the cover up for cameras.
Sky News quickly interrupted the interview and apologized for showing the cover, which reads “Charlie Hebdo” and “All is forgiven” in French.
“Most U.K. newspapers, broadcasters and other news outlets have opted not to show the cover” to avoid offense to Muslims, the Independent reports.
Initially, the newspaper only made 600,000 copies per issue, but since the attack, has printed more than 5 million copies.

Paris’ Hero:
A Mali man is being called a hero after hiding 15 people in the freezer at the kosher market where a Paris attacker took many hostage.
Lassana Bathily put the victims in the freezer and told them to stay calm as he went to look for the gunman.
Lassana Bathily was on the job on Friday when Amedy Coulibaly seized the store, demanding freedom for two brothers who killed 12 people at the satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo. Bathily quickly led the group, which included a 2-year-old child, to the basement.
“I put them inside (the freezer), closed the door and told them: ‘Stay calm, I will go out,'” Bathily, a 24-year-old Muslim man from Mali, told The Associated Press. “I went up. I looked everywhere. I didn’t see him (the hostage taker).”
Bathily, who will be awarded French nationality, said of his bravery: “it’s nothing, that’s life.”

Man Comes Clean:
A man is being held in Belgium for possibly supplying weapons to one of the gunmen who killed 5 people in Paris, France last week.
The man handed himself in to police and told them he had been in contact with gunman Amedy Coulibaly.

Belgian media reported that a man had handed himself in to police in the southern city of Charleroi on Tuesday, saying he had been in touch with Amedy Coulibaly, the militant who took hostages in a Jewish supermarket in the French capital and was later killed by security forces.
There is evidence the two men negotiated over the sale of ammunition for a firearm.
