Sometimes, things just don’t work out the way you want them to.
While we were hoping that Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey would repair their relationship over the holidays, it seems as though the Wild n’ Out host was putting an end to it instead.
According to TMZ, Nick filed for divorce on December 12th of last year, right after Mimi was 3-hours late to a taping of the NBC tree-lighting special because she was reportedly working out terms of her property settlement.
TMZ reports:
The timing is interesting. We found out Nick filed papers December 12. The date is relevant because on December 3, Mariah showed up 3 hours late to tape a segment for the NBC tree-lighting special.
At the time we posted a story … Mariah was on the phone with her lawyers going over the terms of her property settlement. That syncs up with Nick filing papers a week later, after they hashed out a deal.
For the sake of dem babies, Nick and Mariah have seemingly parted amicably, and remain friends.
