This past weekend, Cincinnati Bengals player Devon Still delivered unfortunate news about his daughter Leah’s fight with cancer.

The 4-year-old, who underwent surgery and chemotherapy after doctors found a cancerous growth in her abdomen in June, is still battling cancer.

“I wanted to hear so bad that my daughter’s cancer was gone and when I didn’t it hurt me bad,” Still wrote Sunday. “I couldn’t even bring myself to tell my family the results without breaking down. I honestly just wanted to shut down from every one.”

Leah felt well enough to leave the Philadelphia hospital where she received her treatment and attend her dad’s home game in Cincinnati, according to ABC.

On Thursday, Still took to Twitter to further address Leah’s health and express his concern for his daughter:

Still, a defensive tackle, was originally cut from the Bengals roster. Once the team learned of Leah’s battle with stage 4 cancer, they kept him on the practice squad so that the family could benefit from the insurance for Leah’s medical costs.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Still and Leah during this difficult time.
