According to new reports, multiple gunshots rang outside of Vice President Joe Biden‘s Delaware home last night. The Bidens, however, were out enjoying their evening when it all went down.

CBS News reports:

Multiple gunshots were fired from a vehicle outside Vice President Joe Biden’s Delaware residence on Saturday evening, federal law enforcement officials confirmed to CBS News.

A Secret Service spokesman told CBS News the Bidens were “out for the evening” when the shooting occurred around 8:25 p.m.

A federal official said the shooting occurred on a public road outside the established security perimeter. The vice president’s private residence is several hundred yards from the main road where the shots were fired.

Secret Service officials said their personnel on duty heard the shots.

The site goes on to say that the Secret Service and police were not able to catch the suspected vehicle as it fled the scene, also noting: “Federal officials are working with the local authorities and don’t know if this was a random or targeted attack.”

A man passing by an officer, who was attempting to secure the area, was later arrested for “resisting arrest.” We will keep you updated as new details emerge.
