So this happened.
A white Florida man who has clearly been watching way too much Batman (or George Zimmerman) decided to tackle a black man he spotted walking into Walmart with a gun holstered on his hip.
Now that man, 43-year-old Michael Foster, is being charged with one count of battery for bulldozing Clarence Daniels — a 62-year-old man who had a license to carry the weapon.
Daniels was in Walmart to pick up coffee creamer for his wife. Far cry from whatever Foster was thinking.

Foster followed Daniels into the store, put him in a choke-hold and brought him to the ground, the sheriff’s office said. He then started yelling that Daniels had a gun.
A struggle ensued, with Daniels yelling that he had a permit. Security detained both men until deputies arrived.
They confirmed Daniels had a permit for the gun, and arrested Foster.
We’ll refrain from speculating if Foster was actually well-intentioned or racially profiling (sound off in the comments below), but maybe he should leave the apprehending to the cops.
On second thought…maybe not. Especially not in Walmart.
