The past few weeks have been tough for Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky and his hip-hop collective the A$AP Mob. On January 18, the group’s founder/mastermind A$AP Yams, 26, unexpectedly passed away. Billboard caught up with Rocky while he was promoting his new film DOPE at Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Rocky, who appeared to be in good spirits on stage, told Billboard he was struggling to keep it together. “That performance — that was just going to stop me from crying,” Rocky said. After Troy Ave took and revamped his song “All About The Money,” Brooklyn rapper Manolo Rose quickly recovered by dropping another hit, “Run Ricky Run.” Manolo hit a small touring circuit around New York City, and finally released the music video for the Boyz In The Hood-inspired anthem.
