Whew, is it getting warm in here? Or is it just Chrissy Teigen and John Legend?
One of Hollywood’s hottest couples is heating up the pages of GQ magazine to run the town and serve up an offering of some stylish spring sweaters. In addition, the longtime Manhattanites dish on dispatching food trucks to feed those protesting the Eric Garner verdict back in December:
“That was Chrissy’s idea,” says Legend proudly. “Originally we were thinking about buying out a restaurant, but we realized we should bring the food to them.” Coming up short on food-truck contacts, Teigen frantically booked a bunch of vehicles herself off a rental site, then called the vendors to plan the surprise. “You’re making that phone call in the morning, hoping they agree to it, because obviously it’s kind of a hot-button topic—you don’t know who’s going to want to be involved,” she says. “But everybody was so down. And so for the cause.”
