Joey Bada$$’ debut album B4.Da.$$ debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200. Maybe it was Malia Obama’s cosign, but B4.Da.$$ landed at the respectable number five spot, moving 58,000 copies in its first week.
B4.Da.$$ is also number one on the R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Album charts.
Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco’s fifth studio album Tetsuo & Youth debuted just outside of the top 10, moving 42,000 units, which is 12,000 more copies than Lupe predicted himself.
