The lack of competition in the upcoming political race might be the reason behind Hillary Clinton’s latest decision to delay her presidential campaign until this summer.

The former Secretary of State has chosen to play it cool and instead of announcing her formal launch in April, will wait until July. The decision comes a few weeks after Governor Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, and many other potential candidates have hinted at running for the top seat. This spring, Clinton plans to use the time to formulate her campaign by appearing “more political.”

According to Politico:

A huge advantage to waiting is that Clinton postpones the time when she goes before the public as a politician rather than as a former secretary of state. Polling by both Democrats and Republicans shows that one of her biggest vulnerabilities is looking political.

A Democrat familiar with Clinton’s thinking said: “She doesn’t feel under any pressure, and they see no primary challenge on the horizon. If you have the luxury of time, you take it.”

Since Clinton has yet to announce her plans for candidacy, plenty have taken to speculating. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul has his eye on Clinton with this latest shady tweet:

Ready for Hilary, a super PAC dedicated to her presidency, will have to prolong their efforts in supporting Clinton. Recently, they used Sarah Palin’s attempt at using their popular car magnets as a prop and switched it into a huge fundraising opportunity, raising over $50,000 in support of Hil.

Looks like Clinton definitely can use this time to her advantage.
