What we’re about to show you won’t come as a surprise if you watch Fox News, especially if you caught any of these incidents that prove their hosts hate women (trust, it was painful to put this list together).

And it won’t come as a surprise if you’ve kept up with conservative sweetheart and impetus for the knee socks and plaid mini skirt surge of the ’90s, Stacey (formerly Dionne of Clueless) Dash, in the past year or so.

Seriously. Once upon a time, the newly proclaimed Republican suggested that black Americans feel “worthless” and are “uneducated” under the Obama administration, completely bypassing her own political party’s contributions to poverty, unemployment, and systemic racism (also, those comments about worthlessness alone are pretty fucked up).

So when she appeared on Fox’s program Outnumbered to talk sexual assault on college campuses — a conversation sparked by Dartmouth College’s decision to ban hard alcohol on campus and University of Virginia sororities asking that sisters stay home to avoid assault — and said this, we weren’t shocked. Appalled and confused at how obtuse her statement was, but not surprised.

“The other bad girls–bad women–are the ones who like to be naughty, might go out and play and get hurt and then, you know…But the other thing about this is that it then blames the alcohol instead of the person who over-drinks. So it’s like, the same thing with guns. Guns don’t kill people; people kill people. Alcohol doesn’t get you drunk; you get yourself drunk.”

Oh, that’s right! Rapists don’t rape women, women rape themselves. This is Fox News, after all.

We were hoping someone would interject. We were hoping that, for once, a Fox News panel of women would step up to dismantle the patriarchy and misogyny that often affects them firsthand. But what we were met with was host Andrea Tantaros’ take on rape. And now, we’ve concluded that no one associated with the conservative news network should ever speak about women. Ever. EVER.

“I would just like someone to tell me the rules. Are women strong enough to take care of themselves, or are they not strong enough to take care of themselves? Because we’re getting so many mixed messages. And I do feel for some of these fraternity guys because you look at UVA, none of them have been convicted of anything. So I think a lot of boys are feeling like the minute they step foot on college – let me finish, they step foot on college and they are immediately considered to be guilty. I mean girls are given rape whistles and boys aren’t allowed at frat parties – either women can handle liquor and make responsible choices or they can’t. And they’re a bunch of babies who need to be kept away from liquor and boys.”

Yes. Let’s focus on the false criminalization of men on college campuses and completely ignore the numbers that clearly state sexual assaults on campus are a HUGE AND TRUE FUCKING PROBLEM.

This is where we drop the mic. Watch the video above, if you can stand it, and sound off below.
