Contrary to popular belief, Tupac Shakur wanted to unite the East Coast and West Coast.

Thanks to letters unearthed by XXL, it’s been revealed that Tupac was planning a collaborative album with artists from various parts of the country.

“While writing to his friend Big Lock, Pac discusses his plans to drop One Nation, a collaborative album that would have featured Greg Nice, Buckshot, Smiff-N-Wessun, Scarface, E-40 and OutKast. He had plans to drop the record in the summer, but it never came to fruition. Unfortunately, the letter isn’t dated, so who knows when these plans were made and why the album never happened.”

Okayplayer also reports that the letters from Tupac are the real deal. After speaking with ?uestlove, the Roots frontman revealed that Tupac actually contacted him about working on the One Nation album.

A British-based auction house reportedly has other handwritten letters from the late great rapper that they’ll put up for auction later on this month.

The auction is scheduled to go down on Feb. 27-28 in Los Angeles. To see the handwritten letters for yourself, head on over to XXL.
