For the first time since they began their reign of terror, Boko Haram militants carried out an attack on Chad, officials said. Fighters reportedly crossed Lake Chad in motorboats and attacked a village before being pushed back by Chadian troops overnight. Several people died in the attack. Read about it here… [BBC]

At a Thursday press conference organized by attorney Gloria Allred, two more women came forward to accuse Bill Cosby of sexual misconduct. The former models, Linda Brown and Lise-Lotte Lublin, said Cosby sexually assaulted them in 1969 and 1989. Firefighters in London are concerned with what they’ve dubbed the Fifty Shades of Grey effect — a spike in emergency calls from people, no doubt inspired by the BDSM film, stuck in handcuffs and other sex toys. It makes sense. The London Fire Brigade said incidents involving sex adventure accidents have been rising year after year since the first E.L. James book hit the shelves.
