As summer quickly approaches, organizers of the 20th annual ESSENCE Festival announce Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige will be headlining this year’s bash down in New Orleans.
Last year, “The Blacker The Berry” rapper took a break from touring on the festival circuit, but it appears he’s back on the grind with his highly anticipated sophomore album arriving sometime this year.
Tickets for the event will go on sale Wednesday, February 25, but all the action is scheduled to go down 4th of July weekend.
