After multiple hospital trips during his appearances in court concerning his murder charges from last month, Suge Knight is claiming that he is legally blind in his left eye.

According to TMZ, the lawyer of the former Death Row mogul revealed that his client is suffering from glaucoma, which is a side effect of diabetes. The condition is being used in his defense for the case, claiming that he didn’t have a clear view on his left side when he ran over Cle “Bone” Sloan, and killing Terry Carter, with his car.

The site reports:

Attorney Matthew Fletcher says when Suge pulled back and struck Cle “Bone” Sloan the first time … he didn’t have a clear view of his left side, which may have prevented him from turning left, which would have allowed him to escape down the street.

In addition, Terry Carter was on Suge’s left side when he re-entered the parking lot, so Suge may not have clearly seen him before striking him with the truck.

Suge also claims Carter screamed something to the effect of, “Should I shoot him?” Fletcher says because of Suge’s vision problem, he couldn’t see that Carter was not brandishing a weapon.

Suge has been claiming self-defense in his case against the charges, as he believes that he was in danger of being shot again while being confronted on set.
