When you’re a famous woman, you become subject to scrutiny that famous men don’t necessarily have to deal with in Hollywood. Then, on top of men bashing women, we also see women constantly bashing one another – case in point, the Kardashians vs. Amber Rose.
If you let the world tell it, Kim Kardashian is only famous because of the 2007 sex tape she and Ray J starred in. If you let hip-hop heads tell it, Amber Rose only rose to fame because Kanye West cuffed her for a little while.
After going head-to-head with reality TV’s most infamous family, Muva hit Entertainment Tonight to talk about those assumptions, why she felt the need to speak on Kylie Jenner‘s questionable relationship with Tyga, and more.
She also spoke on Kanye West joining in on the virtual catfight, saying she deals with people slut-shaming her everyday.
“It’s important for me because I deal with it every day,” she said of slut-shaming. “I deal with it via social media, people out on the street. I recently dealt with that with my ex saying he had to take 30 showers after he’d been with me,” she added referencing West’s comments.
Amber continues:
“We were happy when we were together, and now all of the sudden I’m getting slut shamed because we’re not together anymore, and it’s unfair,” she continued. “I feel like women deal with that constantly on a daily basis, and I’m sick of it. I’m here for my girls. We’re going to do the Amber Rose Slut Walk this summer, and it’s going to be awesome. I’m going to do it in L.A. this year, and hopefully New York, Chicago, Miami.”
