Kathy Griffin finally speaks.

After issuing a statement and quitting Fashion Police just last week, the comedienne extraordinaire made an appearance on The View and opened up about her decision to leave the show. The 54-year-old defended herself, stating that the program just did not go with her style of comedy and she felt disingenuous at times.

She told the ladies of The View:

“I was told that they would happily sign onto my style and all that kind of stuff. But, you know, it’s like buying a house, you don’t really know until you spend the first night there…I really didn’t know until I took the seat.”

Another day, another Justin Bieber controversy. But this time, it actually has nothing to do with the “As Long As You Love Me” singer.

During the taping of his comedy roast hosted by Kevin Hart, comedian Jeff Ross said some insensitive jokes about Paul Walker that left the crowd stunned and even infuriated.

According to The Hollywood Reporter:

Comedian Jeff Ross connected Bieber’s driving skills to those of Walker’s, cracking, “‘Move bitch, get out of the way!’ is what Paul Walker should’ve told that tree. Too soon? Too fast? Too furious?”

A visibly offended Ludacris even motioned to cut at one point during the taping.

“I was so in the moment, I don’t know what jokes hit,” Ross deflected when THR asked after the roast if the Walker jokes went too far.

Anthony Mackie might have just snagged himself the role of a lifetime.

The sometimes controversial actor is slated to play the legendary Jesse Owens in a biopic that chronicles the athlete’s road to his domination of the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

Deadline reports:

Pending negotiations, the deal will go out in the fast lane to directors. The tentative plan I understand is to start production in October to get the film out by the 2016 Summer Olympics, which would mark the 80th anniversary of Owens’ dramatic Games when he won four gold medals and left Hitler’s prized athletes — and Hitler’s theory that the Germans were the superior race — choking on his dust.

Hopefully all goes as planned and the movie comes to fruition.

The House of Cards finale left many of the popular show’s fans wondering what will happen to the Underwoods.

Creator Beau Willimon opened up about the harrowing finale, telling The Daily Beast:

“The scariest thing for us, narratively, was to take the core of this show, its greatest strength—this unorthodox, unholy union between these two people—and see it break apart. It had to be violent, and not just physically, but psychologically. What we’re seeing is a rift. It’s had 28 years to grow stronger, and through the course of a very short amount of time in the White House, it’s come apart.”

He also spoke about Robin Wright and Kevin Spacey‘s will to cooperate, stating:

“When I first talked to Kevin and Robin about that scene in the hotel room, I went and explained to them about what I was going to do ahead of time, and I said, ‘If you feel uncomfortable about any of this, please say the word,’” said Willimon. “But they were both absolutely game and completely fearless. They were eager to go to this new and scary place. It was scary for them, but their fearlessness ruled the day.”
