It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Detroit crooner Mike Posner, but after recording and scrapping two albums while signed to RCA Records, he’s back with a new single and a new deal with Island.
“I Took A Pill In Ibiza” is an introspective country-influenced song in which Mike opens up about the trials and tribulations of fame and starting his career over.
The “Cooler Than Me” singer intones, “I took a pill in Ibiza to show Avicii I was cool.”
“I’m just a singer who already blew his shot/ I get along with old timers cause my name’s a reminder of a pop song people forgot,” he continues.
The 27-year-old singer/songwriter is gearing up to release his sophomore album, which is due out later on this year. Take a listen to Mike’s latest.
