It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Melanie Fiona, but the Toronto R&B singer is back with a reggae-inspired jam titled “Bite The Bullet.”
GlobalGrind got the chance to see Melanie perform a couple new songs at a multicultural Pepsi presentation a few months back, and she performed an acoustic version of this one.
Pulling from her Guyanese roots, Melanie sings, “I’ll bite the bullet, do it in the name of love/ I guess I’ll bite the bullet, I’m done playing with loaded guns.”
Although it’s been three years since Melanie released The MF Life, she’s been recording and writing non-stop since moving to Los Angeles.
The arrival of her third studio album, Awake, will drop later on this year.
