Box office newcomers proved to be no match for Jurassic World and the cartoon Inside Out, which beat out Magic Mike XXL and Terminator: Genisys for the number one and number two spot, respectively.

Jurassic World continued to rake it in, with $30.9 million made in theaters this weekend, solidifying its leap to the fourth-best showing of all time in North America with a total so far of $558.2 million. Inside Out brought in a cool $30.1 million.

Attention Sanrio fans! Hello Kitty is getting her own feature film, slated for a 2019 release date. Sanrio, Hello Kitty’s parent company and home to other whimsical cartoon personalities, will tap its recently established U.S. subsidiary to execute the film. The projected budget is $160 to $240 million, per Sanrio execs.

Via Deadline:

U.S.-based Sanrio Media & Pictures Entertainment was established in June to help exploit the Japanese company’s IP and brand library worldwide. Fox Animation acquired film rights to Sanrio’s Mr. Men and Little Miss characters in January. Sanrio managing director Rehito Hatoyama was appointed chief exec of the new U.S. unit and will oversee the Hello Kitty project.
