Dash cam footage of Sandra Bland being arrested at a traffic stop has been released by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The video was taken just before the Chicago woman was arrested on July 10th, and later found dead in her jail cell on July 13. A medical examiner ruled the 28-year-old’s death a suicide.

Watching the dash cam video, we can see trooper Brian Encinia confront Bland as she sits in the driver’s seat of her vehicle and ask her to put her cigarette out. When she refuses, Encinia then threatens to Tase Bland, saying, I will “light you up.” He then asks her to get out of the car. As the situation continues to escalate, you can hear her say, “You just slammed my head into the ground. Do you not even care about that?”

Since Bland’s death, the Waller County Jail that kept her in custody is now under investigation. The family has disputed her cause of death and requested an independent autopsy.

The District Attorney said authorities are treating her death like a murder investigation.
