Vic Mensa‘s latest track, “Heir to the Throne (Freestyle),” is a message directed right at all his competition. His choice to rap over the instrumental from Biggie’s iconic “Who Shot Ya?” sends a not-so-subtle message about where he thinks he belongs in the rap game.

Mensa lets every doubter and hater know he deserves the top spot and he’s going to take it. With lyrics like “This the beginning of a new dynasty, I hope you ni**as come prepared / You should be very scared,” Mensa takes no prisoners.

Although it seems like the Roc Nation rapper is coming for everybody, there is some speculation that he’s specifically dissing Travi$ Scott on the track. He has a series of lines about “corny ni**as” and those verses are immediately followed by an almost perfect imitation of Scott’s signature line, “Straight up!” If Scott decides to respond, this beef might be a lot more serious than Drake and Meek‘s. There are already rumors of a fight between the two rappers’ crews.

Regardless, the track goes dumb hard.

Check it out below and decide for yourself how serious Mensa’s lyrical shots are.
