Jon Stewart bid his show farewell last night with a bang. Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band played at the show, in addition to a long-winded list of politicians and comedians that said their goodbyes in a video montage.

Per Daily News:

“This show isn’t ending, we’re merely taking a small pause in the conversation — which by the way, I have hogged,” Stewart said in his final moments. “We’re just taking a pause, so rather than saying goodbye or goodnight, I’m just gonna say, ‘I’m gonna go get a drink and I’ll see you around.'”

We’ll miss you, Jon.

Empire director Lee Daniels is working on a new show called Star for FOX, and it’s about the rise of an all-girl band. The show will star Orange Is The New Black actress Uzo Aduba and Glee‘s Amber Riley.

From The YBF:

Set in Atlanta, “Star” is a drama that centers on three girls who are coming together to form a band and all the drama and conflict they encounter on their rise to the top.

FOX spokeswoman Dana Walden spoke about “Star” saying, “The project features a lot of Lee’s own DNA and represents a new perspective, that of the artist. The setup lends to a great soap operatic storytelling machine.”

Lee will co-write and executive produce the series with The Whole Truth creator Tom Donaghy, and he’ll also direct. Star is a part of an overall deal he signed with 20th Century Fox TV.

Has Nick Cannon changed his mind about getting divorced? TMZ is reporting that he is pushing the brakes on his divorce proceedings with Mariah Carey.

Per TMZ:

We found out after getting a star Wednesday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she went to dinner with disso-queen Laura Wasser and fellow lawyer, Melanie Mandles. Our sources say they were looking for pressure points to make Nick seal the deal on the divorce. They believe he’s dragging his feet.

We’re told it’s all about money … there’s no doubt she’ll have the lion’s share of custody of the twins.

Hmm…it’ll be interesting to see how this pans out.
