Kim Kardashian is in hot water with the Feds. Yes, you read that correctly.

Two weeks ago, the pregnant reality star promoted Diclegis, a morning sickness pill, to her 42+ million followers on Instagram, writing:

“I’m so excited and happy with my results that I’m partnering with Duchesnay USA to raise awareness about treating morning sickness.”

Now, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has sent a warning letter to Duchesnay, the pill’s pharmaceutical company, reading:

“The social media post is false or misleading in that it presents efficacy claims for DICLEGIS, but fails to communicate any risk information associated with its use and it omits material facts,”

Basically, if you’re going to promote medical products on social media, include its risks and side effects or the FDA will be on your ass, Kim.

This isn’t the first time Duchesnay has been at odds with the FDA. Two years ago, it was warned after omitting risk information in a letter to doctors. SMH. In a statement, the company responded that it will “take quick action” to respond to the FDA’s concerns.

The selfie in question has since been removed from Kardashian’s social media accounts. This news comes 24 hours after she shut down the ‘Gram once again by baring her growing baby bump in a nude selfie.
