Alas, the Internet giveth and the Internet taketh away. For the Fat Jew, this unfortunately happens to come at the cost of his career. Hit with recent backlash in light of a preliminary Comedy Central contract for a show, the news arrived that the contract was off; namely, comedians are mad that the Fat Jew pulls content from them without properly sourcing their origin.

What’s prompted the lynch-mob treatment — which seems to be achieving daily regularity on Twitter these days — was the news that the Fat Jew had signed with CAA. He’s already lined up plenty of other deals, including his own line of wine, modeling contract and a book, “Money. Pizza. Respect.” Comedy Central had a script deal with the comedian that never moved to the pilot stage, a decision that was made several months ago.
It’s peculiar enough a sign of the times that someone can build an actual career in the entertainment business just by posting funny images on an Instagram account (5.7 million followers to date). And in comedy circles, where joke-stealing is already a hot-button topic, don’t expect to get anything but roasted if your rise to the top is fueled by other people’s material.

A study shows that nearly half of movie-goers are willing to suffer a pay hike in exchange for theater security. This result comes after a summer that saw two significant movie theater shootings: one at a Trainwreck screening in Louisiana, and the other, more recent occurrence happening just earlier this month.

While 48% are fine with paying $1 or more for the additional measures, only 23% said they would pay $2 or more, according to a new survey by consumer research firm C4.
“Moviegoers are telling us that they’re starting to see the value of security,” said Ben Spergel, executive vice president of consumer insights at C4. “Hopefully they’re beginning to value it the same amount that they value Imax or 3D, where they recognize that you have to pay more for a better experience. You may also have to pay more for a safer experience.”
Following the latest attack, respondents have demonstrated a greater willingness to pay more for added security. Only 13% of respondents said they would pay $3 extra for more security after the first attack, but that climbed to 19% after the second violent incident in as many weeks.
This is an instance in which the cost may in fact ensure a safer outcome.

Ellen [DeGeneres] was at Disney’s D23 Expo this past weekend to promote “Finding Dory,” the sequel to “Nemo,” following her character on her next adventure. “This is so exciting for me,” Ellen told the audience (via USA Today). “I’m so proud of this film. I’m so excited for you to see this.”
First, here’s the official synopsis for “Finding Dory”:
Dory, who suffers from short-term memory loss, has vague recollections of her parents. She decides she must go find them, and ends up in a marine institute where animals are cared for. That’s where we meet the new creatures.”
We’ll have to just keep swimming until June 17, 2016, when the Finding Nemo sequel is released.
A new animated Scooby-Doo film will hit theaters on September 21, 2018, according to Warner Bros. The Hanna-Barbera classic will feature the original cast of characters.
