Spirit Halloween has announced its plan to sell Caitlyn Jenner costumes at NYC pop-up shops. Although Halloween is still a couple of months away, it appears 2015’s collection of offensive costumes have already started to appear. However, Spirit says the costume will aim to “celebrate” Caitlyn.
Trisha Lombardo, the company’s head of PR and Marketing, tells the Daily News:
“Caitlyn Jenner has proven to be the most important real-life superhero of the year, and Spirit Halloween is proud to carry the costume that celebrates her.”
We’re calling BS. Lombardo continues:
“At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes. We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that.”
Details on the prepackaged costume are not yet available, but it should be unveiled in 4-6 weeks.
